With the start of each new academic year at Los Angeles Valley College comes the excitement and anticipation of new opportunities and challenges. For the more than 300 student-athletes participating in our athletic program, there is a chance to excel in academics, an opportunity to transfer and compete at a four-year institution, and to represent Los Angeles Valley College with pride. Los Angeles Valley College football is committed to transforming the lives of our student-athletes through academic and athletic achievement. A fully remodeled football stadium, a new Sprinturf field, and an all weather “Mondo” track surface ( www.mondousa.com ) has been completed as of June 20, 2006 (see web site: www.lavc.edu/Athletics/.htm ). This new stadium project has created excitement throughout the student body at Valley College . I invite you to join us as we build a championship football program. I want to assure that all the Los Angeles Valley College football alumni and various supporters have an opportunity to share in the growth and success of Monarch football. With your generous support, many student-athletes will continue to learn at the highest level possible. In fact, your assistance will assist many low social-economic student-athletes in need of an education. You will be a part of the academic process in developing student-athletes.
